That being said, because it's easy to work with I decided to make roses. I made a total of six from one fondant recipe. One I gave away without taking a picture. These five were made and then painted with food coloring. I like how they turned out, but I still have lots of room for improvement.

Fondant Roses
Two goals accomplished in one day. I wanted to learn how to make homemade fondant. I also wanted to learn how to make roses from it. First, I still haven't learned exactly how to make the fondant that I want, but I did get an excellent recipe from a friend. It's made from marshmallows and powered sugar. It's very easy to work with but I would love to learn how to make fondant with glycerin and gelatin.
